Remembrance: In front of Panihati College on Sodpur-Barasat Road under Gola Police Station, a motorcycle first hit a bystander and then while pushing the motorcycle and 3 other bystanders, that motorcyclist also fell on the road. 6 people were injured in this accident. After getting the news, police from Gola Police Station reached there and took the injured to Panihati Government General Hospital where doctors declared one person brought dead. The name of the deceased is Gautam Das (70). While 4 out of 6 were released after first aid. The police seized the deadly motorcycle although the cyclist managed to escape. Due to this incident that happened during the night, the traffic system on that road was severely affected. Later, senior commissioner officials reached there and restored the traffic.
