Al Qaeda will never understand the importance of uniform: Himanta Biswa Sarma in hijab class MIGMG News

Re Bhui: In response to the video statement issued by al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri regarding the hijab controversy, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday that al-Qaeda would never understand the importance of wearing a uniform in educational institutions.

Endorsing the position of the Indian judiciary on banning headscarves in schools and colleges, Sarma said they would become a platform for displaying religious clothing.

“The Karnataka High Court has made a clear ruling that the female student is not expected to wear anything other than the hijab,” he told the media when asked about the al-Qaeda video.

“If you wear the hijab, I will wear something else (it will become a perfect model), then the school and the college will become a platform for displaying religious clothing and religious behavior. So how then do school and university continue (with veils allowed)? This is the reason for the emergence of the term uniform so that there is no difference between Hindus and Muslims The Prime Minister added, “There is no difference between the poor and the rich.”

Sarma also said that Indian Muslims are with the judiciary.

You will never understand the rule, but I am sure Indian Muslims will understand that we have to wear the uniform. Once you finish your school and college, you go back to your house and whatever you want to wear, you put on. I am sure that the Indian Muslims are with the judiciary.

In a video, Al-Zawahiri praised the student, Miskan Khan, for standing up for the veil.
