LAHORE: The caretaker government of Punjab has finalized the necessary arrangements for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches to be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

According to the security arrangements, a four-tiered fence is to be put up to ensure foolproof security for the matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi, besides ensuring the safety of the teams’ routes, avoiding long traffic disruptions on the roads.

Parking will be provided for visitors in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Lights have been placed along the entire route of the teams and around the stadium. The route of the teams will be monitored with the help of video surveillance cameras.

It may be noted that caretaker Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development (LGCD) Ibrahim Hasan Murad met Pakistan Board of Control for Cricket (PCC) chairman Najam Sethi and assured that the Punjab government will fully cooperate with the PCB to make the PSL a successful and memorable event.

Additionally, caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi directed the administration and traffic authorities to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) training sessions.

He stressed the importance of effective management to ensure that arrivals and departures of teams do not cause significant traffic disruptions and that safety measures are in place.
