Ambassador of Turkey called on Finance Minister – Pakistan MIGMG News

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Pakistan Dr. Mehmet Pachaci on Saturday called on Finance Minister and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and discussed future potential areas for strengthening relations, especially business and investment between the two countries.

SAPM Finance Tariq Bajwa, Special Secretary Finance, Nuretin Demir, Commercial Advisor Turkush, Turkish Airlines Country Manager Ali Batal, Farhan Akram CFO Dolens and senior officials from the Department of Finance and FBI attended the meeting.

The Minister of Finance expressed his condolences for the human and material losses in the deadly earthquake in Turkiye. He said that the government and people of Pakistan are saddened by the loss of precious lives and properties in the devastating earthquake and stand with the people of Turkiye in their difficult time. He further said that the Government of Pakistan is ready to further extend assistance to Turkey.

The minister highlighted future potential areas for strengthening relations especially on the business-investment plan and gave maximum relief for Turkish investors.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, speaking on that occasion, expressed his gratitude for the immediate help and necessary help to the Turkish brothers in the difficult time. The Turkish ambassador shared that the Republic of Turkey has strong bilateral ties with Pakistan and briefed the finance minister on certain issues related to Turkish companies operating in Pakistan.

The two sides further exchanged views on the longstanding religious, cultural, political, economic and social ties between Pakistan and Turkey. The meeting also discussed the economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Dr. Mehmet Pacadzi, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey thanked the Minister of Finance for his support and cooperation.
