New Delhi, Feb 27 () Former BharatPe co-founder and managing director Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover are apparently all set with their new startup, this time in the realm of fantasy sports with a new app called CrickPe, media reported on Monday.
According to leading startup coverage portal Entrackr, citing sources, CrickPe is expected to launch in the “next few weeks”.
“The app is in closed beta mode and will soon be open to the public,” the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.
The website CrickPe appears to be a fantasy sports website for cricket fans and has a picture of Ashneer. Although the veracity of the website could not be independently determined at this time.
Grover or his wife have yet to comment or tweet about their new venture under their newly formed venture called Third Unicorn.
The Third Unicorn is building a market-shaking business that is “busy” and “out of focus,” according to Ashneer’s recent LinkedIn post.
Ashneer and Madhuri Jain are currently fighting a court case where BharatPe has accused them of defrauding Rs 88.6 crore while heading the company.
According to data accessed through Toffler, the Grovers registered a new company last year to begin their new journey.
The firm had a total paid up capital of Rs 10 million and an authorized share capital of Rs 20 million.
Celebrating his 40th birthday, Grover tweeted last year that it was time to build another unicorn.
“Today I am 40 years old. Some will say that I have lived a full life and experienced more things than most. Created value for generations. For me it is still unfinished business. Time to disrupt another sector. It’s time for the Third Unicorn,” he announced.
Grover also said he plans to start his own venture without seeking funding from investors.
