DCP (South East) Rajesh Deo said they received a tip-off at 11.56 a.m. about the body parts being found near Sarai Kale Khan ISBT on the ring road, adjacent to the flyover, in the area under the Rapid Metro construction site.
“When we reached the spot, it was found that human body parts in various stages of decomposition and some hairs were found,” DCP said.
The official said that the crime scene was inspected by forensic experts and the remains were shifted to AIIMS Trauma Center for further processing. It is about determining the identity of the person, the police said.
“The body parts include a skull and a wrist allegedly of a woman…” the officer said.
“Prima facie, a case of murder has been made and a case of murder is being filed,” said the DCP.
