Kolkata: A police complaint has been registered regarding the receipt of bomb threats against government officials who protested in West Bengal demanding an increase in dearness allowance (DA). In fact, a poster was found at the protest site in Dharmatala threatening to blow up the protesters if they did not stop the agitation.

Describing the strike as a “drama”, the placard read: “Stop or you will be bombed.” An official at the Maidan police station said on Monday: “We have received a complaint about it and an investigation has been launched.
