South Korea’s outstanding defense produced another stunning result on Thursday as they held Uruguay to a draw in their 2022 FIFA World Cup clash.

In the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Brazil beat their rivals Serbia by two goals. On the other hand, Portugal defeated a strong selection of Ghana by three goals to two goals, and South Korea held Uruguay to a draw.

The Brazilian team seemed to be in complete control of the match and constantly pressured Serbia. The goalkeeper of Serbia performed an excellent defense. Brazil’s goal tally could have been higher, but two of their players’ shots went off the post. Brazilian Richelson scored both goals, the second goal being a bicycle kick. It can be called the most beautiful goal of the World Cup so far.

Portugal’s and the world’s leading player, Ronaldo, scored from the penalty spot to seal the fact that he has scored in every World Cup he has participated in. The young Ghana national team put up a big fight but lost the first match against Portugal.

On the other hand, South Korea pulled off another stunning result by holding Uruguay to a draw in Group X at the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Thursday thanks to brilliant defending. Two-time world champion Uruguay and 28th-ranked South Korea played a goalless draw after gaining one point.

Played at the Education City Stadium, Uruguayan defender Diego Godin and midfielder Federico tried to score but the ball failed to reach the net and the match ended 0-0 in front of 41,663 spectators.

Uruguay captain Godin headed home before the end of the first half, but the ball hit the left post of the post. On the other hand, Valverde tried to put the ball into the net in the last minute of official time, but the ball hit the top bar of the goal.

Sun Heung-min, sporting a black mask to cover a freckle over his left eye, got South Korea off to a good start. His teammate Hwang Yue who should have opened the account for South Africa but was very close to the goal and hit the ball high over the post.
