Indian badminton player HS Prannoy has been in excellent shape recently and was a vital component in leading India to win their first-ever Thomas Cup title in May. Prannoy has participated in 13 BWF World Tour events this season and is currently at the top of the ranking charts with 58,090 points.

Prannoy who hails from Kerala is currently training at the famous Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad. In a video recently posted by Premier Badminton League, Prannoy is seen on the court playing against a young girl, who was surprisingly good for her age. The two had a short run as the kid efficiently returned shots over the net before one of them eventually missed. Brannoy continued to motivate the young girl and kept her in good spirits.

PBL put the icing on the cake by writing a heart-warming comment on the cute video. “The Beast vs. Little Warrior, who do you think won this sweet confrontation?” PBL comment read.

Badminton player Swashbuckling was on a break from the court as he married his longtime partner Swetha Rachel Thomas in September.

The 30-year-old had placed first in the “Race to Guangzhou,” which determines qualifying for the season-ending BWF World Tour Final. At the Swiss Open BWF Super 300 Championship, Brannoy gave his greatest performance of the season and reached the final. He also carried his purple patch by reaching the semi-finals of the Malaysia Masters Super 500 and Indonesia Open Super 1000 events where he earned valuable rating points.

The BWF World Tour Rankings are not the same as the Badminton World Rankings. In the world rankings, Prannoy is currently placed 18th in the men’s singles charts.

The World Tour rankings take into account the top ten player leagues by points during a calendar year.

The BWF Rankings take into account performance in the BWF World Tour tournaments only. The best singles and doubles players in the BWF World Tour Rankings qualify for the season-ending BWF World Tour Finals.

The BWF World Tour 2022 kicked off in January with the India Open Super 500 and will end with the BWF World Tour Finals in Guangzhou, China from December 14-18. .
