Pune : In order to uplift the living standards of sugarcane workers, an attempt will be made through the corporation to provide educational materials to their children instead of scythe. In addition to promoting the education of children of sugarcane workers, 20 hostels will be started in rented space through Sant Bhagwan Baba Hostel Scheme. Identity cards will be issued to sugarcane workers so that they can avail the benefits of government schemes. As the head of the family of the state, all kinds of cooperation will be provided for the implementation of welfare scheme for sugarcane workers through the corporation.
