Speaking to IANS, Umesh Singh said, I reached the Elephant Sanctuary this morning. It’s amazing and I want to meet both Bowman and Bailey. I don’t know if it is possible or not, but I will stay here until evening and meet them and the elephants.

Officials from Theppakadu Elephant Camp told IANS that there are also some foreign tourists in the camp who want to meet the elephants and the mahout.

Theppakadu Elephant Camp is the oldest in Asia and was established in 1917. There are currently 28 elephants in the camp, while they were wild elephants, which were causing problems to people, and these elephants are being bred in this camp and are being turned into elephants.
