Gold price on Thursday witnessed a sharp rise and set a new all-time record high as the dollar continues to dominate against the rupee.
According to TV channel 24News HD, the price of fine 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 4,900 per tola.
With this flight of gold, the price of 24 carat gold reached Rs 1,95,500 per tola, the highest rate of gold in the history of Pakistan.
The price of 10 gram 24 carat gold also increased by Rs 4,201 to Rs 1,67,610.
The price of 24 carat fine silver has also been increased by Rs 50 per tola to Rs 2,150 per tola.
On the international market, the price of gold per ounce has also increased by $11.
The international rate of gold per ounce has now reached $1,936.
It is worth mentioning that the Pakistani rupee sank to an all-time low of Rs 255 against the US dollar as the dollar jumped by Rs 12 in the open market. The local currency fell by Rs 24.54 in the interbank market, while the country’s external debts multiplied by over Rs 20,000 billion.
