The official Twitter account of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress has been hacked and her profile name and picture have been changed. The profile name has been changed to Yuga Labs, which appears to be the name of a crypto company. No new tweets were posted after the hack. However, Handel posted responses to some tweets related to non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

The Trinamool Congress said it had informed Twitter about the hack and asked them to fix it. This is similar to a 2020 case in which hackers targeted the Twitter accounts of several prominent figures in the United States. Trinamool leader Derek O’Brien said the official All India Twitter handle of the Trinamool Congress has been compromised.
