Hamza Ali Abbasi, a famous Pakistani film and television actor, on Tuesday said that the upcoming drama series ‘Jaan-e-Jahan’ will be his comeback on television.

Abbasi shared a teaser of the upcoming project on his official Instagram account to alert his fans about his return to television.

“Delighted to introduce you to the mesmerizing universe of our next production Jaan-e-Jahan written by Rida Bilal, directed by Qasim Ali Murid,” he said in his post.

The drama is created by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz and will soon air on a TV near you, the author continued.

The actor has already shown his acting ability in a number of famous dramas, but he announced his decision to leave the entertainment profession over a year ago to devote more of his time to religion.

Fans were riveted to the screen during the actor’s final performance as Noori Nath in The Legend of Maula Jett, one of Pakistan’s highest-grossing films of all time. He played a supporting role in Lashari’s masterpiece opposite Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan.

Abbasi discussed his role in The Legend of Maula Jat, which was hailed as a game changer and savior of Pakistani cinema, in an exclusive interview. He also discussed the difficulties he faced while taking on the role of the vile Noori Nath.

The kind of burden that comes with such initiatives “takes a lot of courage to manage, but eventually you get the courage to deal with it,” Abbasi said.
