New Delhi. Within 10 days of the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019 in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists were preparing to carry out another major suicide attack on Indian security forces. In the Pulwama attack, where 40 CRPF jawans were killed, but for the second time, the terrorists’ plot failed as the security personnel took timely action and killed 3 terrorists, including two Pakistani nationals. This has been revealed by former Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon (retd) in his new book Katne Ghazi Aye, Katne Ghazi Gaya.

KJS Dhillon writes in the book that many people are unaware of the Pulwama-like suicide attacks that were planned as early as February 2019. Along with this, he explains that “a potential suicide bomber has recorded a video with explosives and other weapons to demonstrate his intentions.

The agencies were alerted as soon as the terrorists’ plan came to light.

Let us tell you that on February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber rammed his car into a CRPF convoy bus in Pulwama, killing 40 soldiers and injuring several others.

There, Dillon writes, “However, when intelligence and other agencies learned of this (second) attack plot, they immediately set about dismantling the module.”

Former Chinar Corps Commander says that after the Pulwama attack, intelligence agencies, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army have intensified their operations and have been very successful in penetrating the network of terror organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed in South Kashmir.

He said that agencies are continuously working and gathering intelligence about the presence of a module of Jaish terrorists in Thorigam village where they were planning an attack.

The terrorists were wiped out in a joint operation by the army and the police.
Dhillon credited Deputy Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar Thakur of J&K Police in Kulgam for sharing information about the terrorists with the local Rashtriya Rifles (RR) unit and conducting the operation from the front with his men.
