Maharashtra: Thackeray faction’s problems are increasing day by day as the Election Commission has given election symbol of bow and arrow to Shinde group and name of Shiv Sena. After the Vidhan Sabha, now the Shinde faction has started asserting its hold over the Shiv Sena party in the Legislative Council as well. Eknath Shinde, as the leader of the faction, sent a letter to Vice President Neelam Ghore to appoint Prathod to the Legislative Council. This letter said that in the Shiv Sena Legislature Party meeting, it was decided to elect Biplav Gopikishan Bajoria as Deputy Chief Minister.
Legislators will have to respect the whip
With this new role of the Shinde group, the Thackeray group may have to face difficulties in the Legislative Council as well. After the Vidhan Sabha, now the Shinde faction has started asserting its hold over the Shiv Sena party in the Legislative Council as well. Pratod’s appointment will pave the way for him to have an official role in the party. Members of the Legislative Council of the Thackeray faction will have to be considered the whip of the new Prathod. Otherwise action may be taken against them.
