Terrorists shot dead a man in his 40s in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday, police said.
The victim has been identified as Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Achan area of ​​south Kashmir district, they said, adding that the incident took place around 11 am.
“Terrorists fired on a minority civilian namely Sanjay Sharma S/O Kashinath Sharma R/O Achan Pulwama while he was walking towards a local market,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
They said Sharma was rushed to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
“There was an armed guard in his village. The area is cordoned off. The details will follow,” the police said.
