Delhi Excise Policy case: Manish Sisodia to be produced in court today; AAP will organize a protest across the country |

Nationwide protests are planned today in response to the arrest of Manish Sisodia in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, according to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Sandeep Pathak, the party’s national general secretary, has announced that AAP will demonstrate across the nation today.

“The great education minister Manish Sisodia, who shaped the future of millions of children in the country, has been arrested in a false case. Against this, the Aam Aadmi Party will protest across the country tomorrow,” Pathak tweeted.

Police personnel stationed in the capital

The national capital Delhi police have stationed personnel at multiple locations, including the CBI headquarters where Sisodia is detained.

Police said in a statement that many Aam Aadmi Party members and supporters are expected to gather outside the CBI office today.

The AAP also intends to hold a demonstration today at or around 12 noon outside the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in the nation’s capital.

In the process of implementing a new policy for the sale of liquor in the nation’s capital, Manish Sisodia has been accused of corruption. The CBI alleged that liquor businesses were involved in the formulation of the 2021 policy and that a liquor lobby it called the “South Group” made payments totaling Rs 100 crore for that involvement.

At the headquarters of the Central Bureau of Investigation in Delhi, Sisodia spent the night. Before being produced before the CBI court this morning, he will undergo a medical examination.
