Mumbai: The ST strike, which has been going on for the last few months, was heard again in the Mumbai High Court today. This time, the High Court has given a new ultimatum to the liaison ST employees to return to work. The Mumbai High Court has extended the deadline for contacting ST employees to return to work till April 22. The court also said that the ST Corporation and the state government have the right to take legal action against those who do not return to work till then. A bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Makrand Karnik said, “We will order timely payment of salaries, gratuity, timely receipt of PF-pension etc.”

What guarantee did the corporation give?

The ST Corporation has clarified its position after the High Court said that action should not be taken against the employees who are ready to return to work. The ST Corporation has given a guarantee in the High Court that even if there is any suspension, suspension or other action against the liaison staff who will return to work by April 22, they will be withdrawn and hired with understanding.

Meanwhile, the ST Corporation has said in the High Court that it will not fire those against whom FIRs have been registered for violence, but will take action as per the FIR. However, the High Court has indicated that it will issue the appropriate order in this regard as well.
