At least nine people were killed and 1,154 injured in 1,111 road accidents in Punjab in the last 24 hours.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th Feb, 2023 ) :At least nine people were killed while 1154 were injured in 1,111 road accidents in Punjab in the last 24 hours.
Out of the total number of injured, 578 people were seriously injured and transferred to different hospitals, while 576 minor injured victims were helped by rescue medical teams at the scene of the incident, said the spokesperson of Rescue 1122 here on Friday.
The analysis showed that among the victims in these traffic accidents there are 551 drivers, 31 minors, 153 pedestrians and 459 passengers. Statistics showed that 273 accidents were reported in Lahore, in which 259 people were affected, making the provincial capital top of the list, followed by 86 in Faisalabad with 85 fatalities and Multan third with 82 with 84 fatalities.
As many as 954 motorcycles, 91 rickshaws, 121 cars, 26 vans, 8 buses, 26 trucks and 133 other vehicles and slow carts were involved in traffic accidents.
