Two terrorists were killed in a clash between security forces and terrorists in North Waziristan, while two Pakistani army soldiers were also killed in the exchange of fire. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, security forces targeted terrorist hideouts in an exchange of fire in Spinwam district of North Waziristan. In the exchange of fire, 2 terrorists were killed and 2 terrorists were arrested, weapons and bullets were also found from the arrested terrorists. According to ISPR, 2 Pakistan Army soldiers died while bravely fighting the terrorists, including 25-year-old Sepoy Imranullah from Bajaur and 21-year-old Sepoy Afzal Khan from Upper Dir. According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, these terrorists were involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and killing of innocent civilians. ISPR said that a search operation was also conducted by the security forces to eliminate possible terrorists in the area. The security forces reiterated that the Pakistan Army is committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism and the sacrifices of our brave men strengthen our resolve.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to the fallen soldiers in North Waziristan’s Aspinwam district. The Prime Minister prayed for the high status of the martyrs and expressed his condolences to the bereaved. Shahbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful operation against the terrorists. He said that our armed forces and law enforcement agencies are an iron wall in the way of the nefarious motives of terrorists, the entire nation salutes the martyrs and stands by its security forces.
