Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Friday phoned Fawad Chaudhry’s brother Faisal Farid Advocate and apologized to him and Fawad Chaudhry’s family for his statement regarding Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest, TV channel 24NewsHD reported. .
Pervaiz Elahi said he has a long-standing relationship of respect with Fawad Chaudhary and his family.
“The feelings of Fawad Chaudhary and his family were hurt by yesterday’s inadvertent statement, for which I regret,” he said.
“Arresting Fawad Chaudhary and registering a false case against him is sheer brutality. “It is highly condemnable,” he said.
“I apologize for my statement. I express my full solidarity with Fawad Chaudhary and his family,” he said.
“Chodhari Sahib! That’s so great of you to apologize. You are our old man. I and my family consider you as our old man and look up to you with great respect,” Faisal Farid Lawyer told Pervaiz Elahi.
“We as a family pray for the eternal safety of you and your family,” he added.
It should be noted here that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, hinting at the arrest of Fawad Chaudhry, said that Imran Khan’s close aide should have been arrested earlier.
