An accountability court Friday heard the petition for stay order against the auction of the property owned by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and sought further arguments from the petitioner’s counsel on next hearing on April 28, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Petitioner Qazi Misbah Advocate adopted before the court that the process of auctioning the property would be challenged if accused Nawaz Sharif returned to the country.

“It is better to stop the auction for a while,” he pleaded and requested that the court issue a stay order against the auction.

It merits a mention here that the court has ordered to auction the properties of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

However, there are petitions in the court by seven parties seeking a halt to the auction of the property. “The inheritance of the property has been transferred. So, the court should reconsider its decision, ”they say.

“Shamim Agricultural Farms and other properties are with the tenants. The auction will affect the rights of the tenants of Shamim Agricultural Farm, ”they add.

Accountability Court Judge Asad Ali had heard the petitions against the auction.
