President Arif Alvi has called the joint session of the Parliament on May 26, Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The joint session was convened to meet at 4:00 pm on Thursday (today).

The joint session was called as per Article 54 (1) of the Constitution.

Sources in the government have confided to 24News TV channel that the joint session will debate the prevailing law and order situation in the country. It will also take up the economic situation with the government is expected to present the numbers regarding the current state of the economy.

The sources further said that there was also a possibility that the joint session would approve a resolution against the long march of Imran Khan’s long march.
