PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry was arrested from his house in Lahore on Wednesday, Farooq Habib claimed, TV channel 24NewsHD reported.

According to reports, a case has been registered against Fawad Ch at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad under sections 153-A (promotion of enmity between groups), 506 (criminal intimidation), 505 (statement leading to public mischief) and 124-A (sedition). . ) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The case was registered following a complaint by the secretary of the election commission, Umar Hamed.

A judicial magistrate in Lahore granted the police a one-day transit custody of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry, allowing them to transfer him to Islamabad.

Delivering his earlier reserved judgement, Judicial Magistrate Mudassar Hayat directed the police to shift the PTI leader to Islamabad after completing his medical examination.

In a tweet posted early this morning, Farooq Habib wrote: “Fawad Chaudhry has been arrested by the police from his house. Imported government gone mad.’

According to the sources, the transit custody of Fawad Chaudhry will be obtained in Lahore and he will be shifted to Islamabad today.

Another PTI leader Hamad Azhar tweeted, “Fawad Ch’s phone is switched on at CTD Police Training College in Chung, Lahore. I have reached the location.’

Fawad Ch’s brother Faisal Hussain Chaudhry also confirmed his arrest. He said that some unknown persons came in vehicles without number plates and illegally took Fawad with them. They did not show any warrant or reveal their identity.

According to the FIR, Fawad Ch said that the position of election commissions is as an officer (Munshi) and the election commissioner has only put his signature as an officer. Ch further said “if you are so weak, go and sit at home”.

The FIR further stated that Fawad Ch had threatened the Chief Election Commissioner and other ECP members and their families. Due to the PTI leader’s speech, the lives of EKP members and their families are under threat.

The case was registered on Tuesday at 10 pm.

Islamabad Police in its tweet announced, “A case has been registered against PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry on the request of the constitutional body.

It was registered at the Kohsar Police Station on the request of the Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan.

Fawad Chaudhry threatened the Chief Election Commissioner and ECP members to prevent them from performing their duties.

Fawad Chaudhary tried to incite people against constitutional institutions and inflame their sentiments.

The matter is handled according to the law.

Fawad’s arrest came an hour after he, along with other party workers, gathered outside PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore, claiming to have thwarted the government’s alleged plan to arrest the party chief.

The court reserves the decision on Fawad’s transit detention

Earlier, the judicial magistrate of the Cantt court reserved its decision to grant a one-day transit remand to senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary.

The court also ordered a medical examination of the PTI leader.

Officials of the Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department and the police produced Fawad Chaudhry before Judicial Magistrate Mudassar Hayat and sought his one-day transit remand.

After the handcuffed Fawad arrived at the Cantt court amid heavy security, lawyers and PTI workers showered rose petals on him.

Due to the barrage of lawyers in the court, the judge had to send Fawad to his counsel.

Fawad Chaudhary told the court that he is a senior advocate in the Supreme Court and should behave with respect. He said the police included sedition clauses in the FIR to prevent him from getting bail. He claimed that the entire time he was in custody, the police kept him blindfolded with tape. He said he was treated like a “terrorist”.

The PTI leader claimed that what he said about the election commission, the whole of Pakistan is talking about.

The PTI leader’s lawyers argued to the court that the transit application should be rejected. The defense lawyers asked the court to open the cuffs of their client. They said a judge should decide the matter according to law. They said the police wanted to take Fawad to some other city.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hamad Azhar told the media on Wednesday that Fawad Chaudhry was abducted by unknown persons.

He added that the vehicle in which Fawad Chaudhry was taken also tried to intercept Farooq Habib.

“Two other vehicles were also chasing Farooq Habib’s car,” he said.

“Fawad Chaudhary is a brave person. He led his life by law and constitution. [but] they collected him like this,” Hamad complained.

“Fawad Chaudhry’s family has been told where he is being held. “An attempt has been made to suppress the voice of PTI,” he claimed.

“Fawad Chaudhary has raised the voice of press freedom. Arshad Sharif is still alive today. Azam Swati and Imran Riaz’s voice is more powerful than ever,” he remarked.

“There will be sit-ins in every chavka if the party is not told where Fawad Chaudhry is kept,” he said.

“It is not Fawad Chaudhary’s fault that every child spits on the country’s system,” he pointed out.

“Such a move will add to the economic and political chaos in the country,” he said, adding that the PTI would call for a national strike in some time.

Fawad’s medical reports are apparently normal

Arrested PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry underwent a series of medical tests at the Services Hospital in Lahore, where initial reports suggested that he was normal and not facing any health seriousness.

According to hospital sources, Fawad Chaudhry’s blood sugar was recorded at 183 and blood pressure at 160.

The sources further said that Fawad’s body clearly showed no signs of torture.

Sources said that the PTI leader was feeling mental stress for which he was already taking medication.
