Ferozewala police registered a case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Farooq Habib on a complaint by federal constable Adel Shaukat.
A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Farooq Habib for “interfering in official affairs” and “tearing uniforms of police officers”.
The PTI leader has been booked under sections 148, 149, 186, 225, 341, 353 and 395 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The FIR stated that the PTI leader tried to interfere in official affairs and cause harm.
Habib and his accomplices tried to grab the government’s weapons and wireless network in an attempt to free the detainees.
