Keeping in mind the security threats during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Rawalpindi, law enforcement agencies have changed the location of the Imran Khan container scene for the third time.
According to TV channel 24News HD, the stage has been changed for the third time for the PTI meeting and now Imran Khan’s stage will be placed at Rawalpindi’s Sixth Road flyover.
The channel reported that three containers have been placed for the construction of Imran Khan’s stage and twenty more will be placed at the site.
Party sources said that the earlier location of the stage falling in Shamsabad area off Sixth Road had been termed as sensitive and insecure by the police.
Sources said the local police came and stopped the preparation work on the Shamasaba stage. However, the party leaders expressed satisfaction with the decision of the police and changed the venue.
Sources say that the local police have also collected the identity cards of the PTI workers who are responsible for preparing the stage and the canteen there.
Separately, Inspector General of Police Islamabad visited Faizabad district and reviewed the security arrangements.
