The entry of heavy vehicles has been stopped in Delhi since the night of January 25. This ban will last until January 26. After that, entry of heavy vehicles will be allowed. However, heavy vehicles will not be able to enter from the ring road towards New Delhi. Apart from this, only passing vehicles will be allowed to enter these areas. Along with this, in the New Delhi area, locals will be allowed entry only after verification and vehicular traffic will be stopped at Kirtway, Janpath, India Gate, Copernicus Marg from 4 am on January 26.

According to the Delhi Traffic Police Council, the Republic Day parade will start at 10:30 am from Vijay Chowk and proceed towards the Red Fort. The parade will pass through Kirtway, Hexagon C, Subhash Chandra Bose Roundabout, Tilak Marg and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and Red Fort. Due to this, from 6 pm on January 25 till the end of the parade on January 26, no traffic will be allowed on Vijay Chowk to India Gate route. There will be no cross traffic on Rafi Marg, Janpath, Mansingh Road till the end of the parade.
