Varda, All Govt, Semi Govt, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Nagar Panchayat employees, teachers went on strike demanding implementation of old pension scheme. On Saturday, the day of the holiday, workers gathered at the local compound with statues of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and raised loud slogans while organizing the ‘Tissa’ movement. The work of the Government has been stopped due to the strike that has been going on for the last few days.
On Saturday, the workers continued their agitation in the premises of Wardha and Karanja, Arvi, Ashti, Hinganghat, Devli, Selu, Samudrapur Tehsil. Despite it being a holiday, a large number of workers were present at the agitation site. The employees in Karandza attracted the attention of the authorities by presenting a pension skit, in which a large number of female workers participated. Slogans were given by showing placards on which different slogans were written.
Attention has been drawn from the pension road drama
During the day in Wardha and Ashti, workers presented bhajans, bharud playing tabla, patti. Old pension advertisements were given the same mission. A large number of women workers participated in the movement wearing Gandhi’s cap. Confusion has arisen regarding the movement within the organization of NP employees. Some employees have returned to their jobs following the information of their elders. So some workers decided to stick with the movement until we get justice. The effect of the movement was also seen on the health service in the area. Patients are facing inconvenience due to the strike of some employees in the sub-district and rural hospitals in the rural areas.
Action plan for legal protection plan
The District Magistrate instructed to prepare an action plan so that the strike does not adversely affect the health facilities in the area. For this the senior medical officers have been asked to plan measures so that the patients do not face any inconvenience, they have been asked to keep an eye on this.
