quotaA 70-year-old man has reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train after attacking his wife during an argument in Rajasthan’s Bundi district. The police announced this information on Friday.
Police said the old man’s body was found on the railway track near Bawpur village on Friday morning. He said the person has been identified as Ghasilal Gurjar, a resident of Nayapura in Lakeri town. Police said Gurjar stabbed his wife Lodha Bhai after an argument on Thursday night and fled the scene thinking she was dead.

Lakeri police station inspector-in-charge (SHO) Mahesh Kumar said the deceased’s son filed a complaint on Thursday evening that his father had gone missing after attacking the mother with a knife during the fight.
The SHO said that after attacking his wife Gurjar, believing her to be dead, he probably killed himself by jumping in front of a moving train late on Thursday night. The body was handed over to the family members after an autopsy was performed, and in this connection a case has been registered under Article 174 (unnatural death) of the Criminal Procedure Law (CPC) for further investigation, he said.
