A special ceremony was held at the Joint Staff on Friday to bid farewell to General Nadeem Raza, the outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCSC), who is retiring on November 26, 2022 after 41 years of distinguished military service.
According to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the ceremony was attended by the ex-chairman of the JCSC and senior officers of the tri-services.
In his address, General Nadeem Raza thanked Almighty Allah for enabling him to perform his duties to the best of his ability with honesty, justice and dignity.
He saluted the sacrifices of the armed forces in the defense of the motherland.
He reiterated that the country’s defenses were impenetrable and that the gallant soldiers would not hesitate to make it even more formidable.
A smartly delivered tri-service contingent presented the guard of honor to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff upon arrival at the venue. General Nadeem Raza reviewed the honor guard last March as well.
