ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation will grant Pakistan $1.20 billion, and this amount will ensure the continuity of oil supplies.

Speaking at a press conference accompanied by Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Marium Aurangzeb, he said the country’s financial situation is now stable. “The government has provided relief to the poor by shifting the burden of taxation on the rich. Taxes will be increased on the rich whose income is over 150 million rupees.”

Earlier, Muftah Ismail said that the consortium of Chinese banks had signed a 15 billion yuan (~$2.3 billion) loan facility agreement after it was signed by the Pakistani side. An influx is expected within two days. We thank the Chinese government for facilitating this transaction.
