Islamabad: (Web Desk) The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the upper and central regions of the country from Tuesday to Thursday and an advisory has been issued in this regard.
The Department of Meteorology predicts rain in the upper and central regions of the country from Tuesday to Thursday, while in the upper and central regions there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms.
The Meteorological Department says that a westerly wind will enter the western regions of the country from February 28, which will spread to the upper and central regions of the country from March 1. There is a possibility of rain and snow.
According to the Meteorological Department, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Shangla, Buner are also likely to witness rain and snow in the mountains, while thundershowers and snow in the mountains are expected in Abbottabad and Haripur.
During February 28 and March 1, there is a possibility of thundershowers in Islamabad, Potohar region, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Narwal while Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Kasur, Sheikhupura. Nankana Sahib will also rain clouds.
According to the Meteorological Department, Peshawar, Kohat, Nowshera, Swabi, Charsadda are also likely to witness thunderstorms, while Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan, Banu, Dera Ismail Khan are expected to witness thunderstorms, meanwhile including Balochistan. There is a possibility of rain in Sukkur Jacobabad Larkana also.
The meteorological department has expressed fear of damage to standing crops and weak infrastructure following strong winds and hailstorms in the rainy areas.
There is a risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Cyber ​​Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir.
