Indian court sentencing of Kashmiri freedom fighter Yasin Malik has invited ire among Pakistani leaders and human rights champions across the world.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Jamiat Ulema Islam chief Fazlur Rehman and other political as well as religious groups condemned the Dehli court decision. The political and military leadership took a swipe at the Indian court decision terming it unjust and shameful.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari has Yasin Malik is a hero of the Kashmir independence struggle.
Imprisonment cannot shatter Yasin Malik’s resolve, the former president said, adding that India made occupied Kashmir a prison and the PPP will continue supporting Kashmiris’ call for a plebiscite under the United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiris.

The ISPR DG said such oppressive tactics could not crush Kashmiris’ spirit for the freedom movement.

JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman said that human rights organizations should raise voices against this sentencing. The imprisonment will gear up the freedom movement of Kashmiris, Fazl said, adding that the hardships of incarceration do not dampen the spirits of freedom fighters. Fazl flayed the Modi government for having a history of going for such shameful acts.
